AI InsureGenie ("we", "us") runs aiinsuregenie.com and the chat assistant at chat.aiinsuregenie.com. We help drivers find the auto insurance quoting partner or insurer that fits their needs. This policy explains what information we collect, how we use it, and the choices you have.

What we collect

When you browse this website. You don't need an account. The interactive tools on this site, such as the matcher, the deductible explorer, and the shop-around check, run in your browser, and your answers are not sent to us. Our hosting provider keeps standard technical logs, such as your IP address, browser type, and the pages you visit. Our fonts load from Google Fonts, which receives your IP address when the page loads.

When you use the chat. We collect the answers you give, such as your ZIP code and state, your vehicle, your driving record, and what matters most to you. We also collect the questions you type.

When you ask us to connect you or call you. If you choose to share them, we collect your first name, phone number, email address, and preferred call time. We also record the exact consent wording you agreed to and when you agreed.

We do not ask for your Social Security number, driver's license number, or payment details.

How we use it

Who we share it with

AI provider. We send the questions you type, along with general answers such as your state and vehicle, to an AI provider so the assistant can reply. We do not send your name, phone number, or email address to the AI provider.

Partners you choose to visit. When you open a partner's site from our chat, the link tells the partner that you came from us. For partners that support it, the link may also include answers you gave so you don't have to type them again. After that, the partner's own privacy policy applies to what you give them.

Partners and agents you agree to share with. If you agree to be contacted, we share your contact details and answers with the insurance companies, quoting partners, or licensed agents named when you give consent, so they can contact you about quotes.

Service providers. Companies that host and run our website and chat process information on our behalf.

When required by law. We may share information to comply with the law or to protect our rights and users.

How we're paid

Our partners may pay us when you visit them, request a quote, or when we share your details with your consent. It costs you nothing. Depending on where you live, sharing your details with partners in exchange for payment may count as a "sale" or "sharing" of personal information under privacy laws. You can ask us not to share your information this way at any time.

Calls, texts, and emails

We and our partners only contact you by phone, text, or email about quotes if you agree. Agreeing is never a condition of buying anything. You can withdraw consent at any time: tell the person who contacts you, reply STOP to a text, or contact us.

Our website and chat do not set their own advertising or analytics cookies. Partner sites you visit may use cookies under their own policies.

How long we keep it

We keep chat answers and contact details only as long as we need them for the purposes above, including keeping records of consent, and then delete or anonymize them.
